All light is sacred to the Eldar. Woodland elves love best the light of the stars.
I have walked there sometimes, beyond the forest and into the night.
I have seen the world fall away and the white light of forever fill the air.
I feel as though everything in these movies is being done to excess, and that’s what’s ruining them. If they had toned down Azog’s storyline rather than cramming loads of ridiculous orc fights into the movie, it would be better. If they had toned the barrel sequence and done it with less CGI and ridiculous-ness, it would be much less stupid. I was really excited to see Legolas and Tauriel, but they had no reason to go beyond the Woodland realm, that’s what is annoying me about their characters. And I was all up for a fight between Smaug and the dwarves, but it was too ridiculous and stupid for me to take it seriously. I get that Peter liked OTT action but this has just been too much.
“I come from under the hill, and under the hills and over the hills my paths led. And through the air, I am he that walks unseen.
I am the clue finder, the web cutter, the stinging fly. I was chosen for the lucky number.
I am he that buries his friends alive and drowns them and draws them alive again from the water. I came from the end of a bag, but no bag went over me.
I am the friend of bears and the guest of eagles. I am Ringwinner and Luckwearer; and I am Barrel Rider.”
“My armour is like tenfold shields, my teeth are swords, my claws spears, the shock of my tail is a thunderbolt, my wings a hurricane, and my breath death!”
