Happy International Earth day! 🌏💙 Today should be the day to appreciate our planet and its natural treasures, but more importantly it should be the day we think about our planet and the impact we’re leaving on the environment. Human lives are dependent on the state of it and yet it’s so many times neglected and put on the bottom of the list of priorities. While we often put the responsibility for human induced climate change on governments and big corporations, in reality every small act of defiance of each individual towards preserving the environment contributes to a bigger picture of helping our planet. So today we should think about the amount of unnecessary use of plastic thats killing the oceans, gas pollution, deforestation and destruction of other natural landscapes, countless endangered species etc. (its a countless list really). We should accept that each of us is carrying a part of responsibility for it but more importantly also the ability to fight against the environmental degradation – even if just by reusing that one plastic bottle instead of buying a new one every single day. If for no other reason we should care about our planet because it is also our home, meaning we are also a part of this ecosystem and will in the end bear the consequences of environmental destruction just the same. Therefore, the Earth needs all the friends it can get.🌱🐝
