My biggest fear is being misinterpreted because I’m very particular about the way that I come across, and I have been since day one in the industry. Every label meeting I’ve ever taken, I’ve been extremely particular about making sure that I’m not misinterpreted and that my intentions aren’t misunderstood…that people really understand what my vision is and that what I say is authentic. I want people to give me a chance to explain myself, or to prove myself so they can understand me. That’s going to be my biggest obstacle because this industry is full of premeditated judgments. I want to make sure that the authenticity of what I do is undeniable so that no one can challenge what I say or how I act. Halsey Via All Things Go Interview.

I have a whole bunch [of tattoos] but… I have the seventeen on my fingers which is very important ‘cause seventeen is my favourite number. I have an upside down horseshoe on my arm. Because in tattoo culture horseshoes aren’t supposed to be tattooed on upside down ‘cause it means all the luck is spilling out. But I got this one upside down to kinda symbolize that I don’t need luck. I have a whole bunch but I’d have to strip down to show you guys.
